UPS Upgrade Commissioned by Kizyma Electric for NBC Studios

UPS Replacement and Asset Recovery

Summer 2017 – Global Power Supply (GPS) was commissioned by Kizyma Electric for a 500 kVA UPS upgrade at a Los Angeles National Broadcasting Company (NBC) studio

Global Power Supply (GPS) was specifically chosen for the project because of its experience executing these types of sensitive electrical equipment upgrades with no down time. And also because GPS owns and maintains a fleet of mobile UPS systems that are self contained in an enclosed trailer, with cooling systems, UPS, battery cabinets and controls all aboard, and they’re available for rent nationwide.

GPS’ mobile UPS systems have the advantage of being able to set up outside a building, so no inside space is required when upgrading or swapping out equipment.

For this specific project, GPS deployed their 500 kVA UPS trailer, a 500 kW generator and associated cables, a load bank tester, and an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).

The permits for the project were handled by Kizyma Electric and NBC, and when ready, GPS quickly mobilized the equipment, set up, and began the work.

“GPS successfully coordinated all aspects of this project with care and precision.”
